Mugwiza re-elected as FERWABA boss, vows to focus on infrastructure dev’t

Désiré Mugwiza was on Sunday, re-elected to lead the Rwanda National Basketball Federation (FERWABA) for a second four-year term.

Mugwiza, who retained his post unopposed promised to make infrastructure and youth development his top priorities.

"I am very glad that the Assembly has given me the mandate to lead basketball in this country for the next four years,” Mugwiza said in his acceptance speech.He noted that, "We still have a lot of work to do in the next four years where our focus will be on youth and infrastructure development. These two areas will be our top priorities.

The assembly also voted Pascale Mugwaneza as the first vice president while Richard Nyirishema retained his position as 2nd vice president. Richard Mutabazi returned unopposed as the federation secretary general.

Alice Muhongerwa and Claudette Habimana Mugwaneza retained their posts as Treasurer and Technical Director, respectively.
