Nshimiyimana applauded his team after they defeated Musanze FC 2-0 in their rescheduled league match played on Friday at Kigali Regional Stadium, to go fourth in the table with 13 points while Musanze remain in 10th place with eight points.

Midfielder Rodriguez Murengezi netted the opening goal in the first minute after good pass from Hamidou Ndayisaba while former APR striker Michel ‘Bugesera’ Ndahinduka netted the second in the 41st minute, off Murengezi’s assist.

"This shows that the players are hungry to win, which is something good and they are gaining more confidence with every match we play. This is good for the team ahead of the upcoming fixtures,” said the former Rwanda international midfielder.

He added that, "As coach, it is a good sign for me that there’s improvement in the team. I am happy with the mentality of my players. This is a very important win in terms of confidence building.”

"The players are gaining more experience with every match we are winning and I’m sure it will help us for the rest of the season,” noted the former APR and SC Kiyovu midfielder.

His counterpart Sosthene Habimana admitted that his team has a lot of work to do to avoid getting drawn into the relegation zone so early in the season, "We have to turn things around as soon as possible before it’s too late.”

Meanwhile actions will continue on Sunday when the reigning champions APR FC host Sunrise at Kigali Regional Stadium.

Jimmy Mulisa’s side beat Kirehe FC 2-1 in midweek to go second with 14 points, five behind leaders Rayon Sports, who due to face Gicumbi FC on Saturday. APR still has a game in hand against Pepiniere which will be played on December 14.
