AS Kigali vs Musanze

AS Kigali coach Eric Nshimiyimana has urged his players to go for maximum points when they take on Musanze FC in the national football league on Friday at Kigali Regional Stadium.

Nshimiyimana’s side are in 8th place with 10 points, nine points behind table leaders Rayon Sports, but they have one game in hand and they can reduce the gap with a victory this afternoon against Sosthene Habimana’s Musanze, who are tenth with 8 points after seven matches.

"We have learnt a few lessons from the past matches and I believe we will be ready for the game tomorrow. This is a game we need to take points from to close gap with the top teams,” Nshimiyimana said on Thursday.

Nshimiyimana added that, "We have a united team with the best team spirit and comradeship you can ask for. The players have become more competitive and we hope the team will continue to improve and do well for the rest of the season.”

Meanwhile, Musanze head coach Habimana believes that his team can overcome AS Kigali. "We are under some pressure because we have not made a very good start to the season, so victory against AS Kigali will be very important.”

Action will continue on Saturday when table leaders Rayon Sports take on Gicumbi FC at Kigali Regional Stadium, Pipinierre play against Police at Ruyenzi ground, while Marines FC will be up against Mukura Victory Sports at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu.
