After a couple of months in the recording studio, singer Nason Nshimiyimana, known by his stage name ‘Naason’, has released a new song and a video at the same time.

Nason, said to be one of Rwanda’s most underrated singers, released his new song Nduzuye and the video of Sexy Girl, a song he did with the duo TNP.

Nduzuye, a catchy love song, was produced at Narrow Road Studio by Producer Pacento.

The 24-year-old singer caught people’s attention through several songs including Mfite Amatsiko and Nyigisha which were released in 2010, Abisi released in 2011 and Agasembuye in 2012.

In 2013 he released Umunyenga, and, his most recent hit which has enjoyed massive radio airplay, Fatiraho, was released in 2015. The singer, however, is yet to make a major breakthrough.

Naason admits he’s not been as active in the music industry as his fans expected, pointing to lack of good management which makes him inconsistent in producing music.

However, the singer has decided to terminate any contracts with managers to focus on managing and repositioning his own career. Nduzuye is the first song he has released under his own management.

"I want to prove that I am still talented and I am ready to take my music to another level,” he said.

He hopes to launch his first ever album by the end of next year, given a few songs which are in production and will be part of the album.

"I have seven more songs which are in production which will be out early next year and I am still writing more songs which will be part of the album that I want to launch by the end of 2017. I want to be the ‘Nason’ people used to know,” he said.
