This is after the song, composed and sung in Kiswahili, won hearts of music lovers from Kiswahili speaking countries including Former Kenyan Vice-President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, who recently posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) singing and dancing to the viral song.

Nina Siri hits 30 million views on YouTube after only two weeks since Mbonyi made another milestone in Rwanda’s music industry as the first local artiste to sell out BK Arena twice in a row.

Reacting to the development, the gospel singer and guitarist said on various social media platforms, "30 million clicks? Wow I'm super proud of your love".

Nina Siri becomes Mbonyi’s most viewed song on the famous streaming platform, joining smash hit songs like ‘Slowly’ by Meddy which has close to 100 million views and Ambassadors of Christ’s ‘Nimekupeta Yesu’ with over 35 million views among a few others.

The New Times understands that Nina Siri and other most recent songs produced by Mbonyi, gained widespread acclaim because they are sung in Kiswahili which is one of the most widely spoken languages of Africa.

Mbonyi has also headlined sold out concerts such as his Brussels- Belgium show of June 11, 2023, and his just concluded Christmas concert that sold out 24 hours before the show.
