Editor, RE: "Why is Malawi shielding Genocide fugitives?” (The New Times, November 29).

That alone can define how corruption is eating the continent—one is cleared against the most known crime on earth because he is a successful businessperson.

Malawi has set the killer free because he is financially powerful and do not think they are doing so because he is a man wanted in Rwanda. That is how they even go further to treat their own people: only the poor can face justice, not the rich.

There is a need for Rwanda to use social media like Facebook and WhatsApp and circulate the suspects’ faces in Malawi and beyond so that even citizens know that the successful businessman is in fact a man wanted for genocide crimes in Rwanda. That alone will shame the Malawian authorities.

Let’s not downplay the power of the Internet.
