Kamikazi leaves fans yearning for more at album launch

Joy Kamikazi is fast rising gospel singer and songwriter, whose music has changed lives and is continuing to earn her the hearts of lots of gospel music lovers in the country.

This was confirmed on Sunday evening, as numerous fans turned up to support the singer during her debut album launch that took place at New Life Bible Church in Kicukiro, a Kigali suburb.

By 6p.m, the visibly excited and expectant revellers had already found themselves the most comfortable spots so as to enjoy a heart-warming evening of soul edifying and uplifting gospel tunes.

The event saw the fans get entertained by numerous gospel artistes including Diana Kamugisha, René Patrick, Thierry Bari, Urugero Music Academy, Luc Buntu, Rabagirana worship band; among others.

Joy Kamikazi unveiled her 8-track debut album this past Sunday. 

Shortly after 8p.m, the long awaited arrival of Kamikazi came and this was marked with great applause, as the revellers could not contain the ecstasy they felt on seeing her and hearing her magical voice.

Performing most of the worship singles on her album, include Everlasting God, Sinzakuvaho, You are My All, Uhoraho, Elshadai, Usumbabyose, and Nyakira, the soft-spoken Kamikazi emerged and matched through her fans as they chanted and danced uncontrollably till they could drop a sweat.

The album, which comprises eight singles, was launched under the theme, ‘Sing to the Lord’.

The 24-year-old artiste thanked her parents and fans for their continued spiritual and financial support. The show ended close to 10p.m; with all the revellers counting the evening well spent.
