Last Saturday, in the bustling metropolis Indian city of Mumbai, we were commemorating the 8th anniversary of the terror attacks on the city. This gruesome terror attack deprived many children of their parents.

The 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, likewise, turned thousands of innocent children into orphans.

The Singapore International School in Mumbai has proposed to do a Rwf.4.2 million project in Rwanda to help orphans, children of Genocide survivors and other vulnerable children.

This project will surely support childhood development and provide a suitable facility to these young children.

Initiatives like this will go a long way in helping those in need and will effectively supplement the magnanimous efforts of organisations like Unicef and Sorwathe. Clarence Fernandes
