PALM TREE RECORDS, Kygo’s joint venture with Sony Music has signed one of the best electronic dance music (EDM) artistes in Rwanda, Eloi El.
The renowned record label made the announcement on Monday, September 27, through its all social media platforms noting that it’s thrilled to sign one of the best house producers in Rwanda.
"We are thrilled to welcome writer, singer and producer Eloi El to the Palm Tree Records family. Based in Kigali, Rwanda, Eloi has quickly become the biggest dance artist in his country. Honored to be working with him,” reads a post by Palm Tree records.
Reacting to the development, Eloi El told The New Times that Kygo is one of the musicians that inspired him and being part of his music label is a dream come true.
"Kygo inspired me so much from the very beginning of my career and becoming the one to support my music is unreal and unbelievable!” he said adding, " his generosity and love for music has managed to bring forth undiscovered talents and I’m really happy to be one of those.”
The contract signed between Eloi and Palm Trees will help the Kigali based artiste release new music and distribute it under the label.
Eloi El also unveiled plans of featuring Palm Trees records on his upcoming EP to be released next month.

About Eloi El
Born in 1999 Eloi Muhoranimana, commonly known for his stage name Eloi El, is a Rwandan music artist, songwriter and producer who specialized in deep house music which is a sub-genre of Electronic Dance Music (EDM). He has released more than 10 singles and collaborations such as ‘Magical,’ ‘Voices,’ ‘Without You,’ ‘The Way You Love’ and many others.
Eloi released an Extended Play-EP titled "Africa to the World”, which emerged as the top streamed among his released EPs.
In 2020, Eloi was the most-streamed Rwandan artiste on Spotify with more than seven million streams, making EDM the most streamed genre in Rwanda in 2020.
