Dancehall female star, Cindy Sanyu from Uganda, has been announced as the headlining act at the Kigali Jazz Junction, scheduled for December 2 at Kigali Serena Hotel.

The former Blu*3 member has already confirmed her appearance at the 4th edition, and will perform alongside local Injyana orchestra and Neptunez – as well as Uganda’s multi-talented instrumentalist, singer/songwriter MoRoots and Qwela band also from Uganda.

According to Remmy Lubega, director of the Neptunez band and host of the event, Cindy is the public’s choice at the forthcoming Jazz Junction, thanks to her great hits.

"Our audience has always requested us to bring Cindy Sanyu and therefore we want her fans to experience her music and also discredit the bias people have about jazz music and events,” said Rubega.

Last week, the ‘Still Standing’ diva, scooped the Best female East Africa award at the third prestigious 2016 All Africa Music Awards, (AFRIMA). The concert starts at 8p.m and the tickets for the show go for Rwf20,000 (bronze), Rwf160,000 (gold) and Rwf250,000 (platinum).
