There must be no safe haven for genocidaires

Editor, RE: "Netherlands extradites two Genocide suspects” (The New Times, November 13).

Like the hunt to this day continues for leading Nazis, these people must be brought to justice no matter how long it takes to bring them to book.

That also must apply to other countries (especially Rwanda) where genocide was inflicted on innocent people and its perpetrators continue to roam the world freely.

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang H. Thome*************************

Good for The Netherlands—unlike France—to demonstrate in the most practical manner its refusal to be a safe haven for genocide suspects.

It would be an excellent thing if some of the country’s European MPs could take a leaf from their government in understanding that Genocide suspects and their key political supporters need to be brought to justice rather than be mollycoddled. Mwene Kalinda
