Another answer to prayer

In the village of Keew in Sudan, Adhiambo and Pam (the missionary), were so glad to teach all the children who came to learn God’s Word. The children didn’t mind sitting on the floor of the mud hut because they just wanted to hear about Jesus.

Before arriving in Sudan they prayed about who would teach the children when they left. So they asked if any of the children was interested in learning to teach. One day at the end of a class, 12 teenage boys came to talk to Adhiambo and Pam.

"We want to learn how to teach children God’s Word, will you help us?” they said.

There had been no volunteers and now 12 boys were willing to teach other children! This was an answer to their prayers!

Adhiambo prayed also for teenage girls to join the training class. After a while, six girls were allowed by their parents to come for the training too.

Adhiambo was happy to see how excited they were when she explained how to teach God’s word. Now they would help others receive Jesus as their saviour and discover God’s plan for their lives!

What will you do?

If Adhiambo talked to you today she would say, "Trust God to answer your prayers. He will do the same for you as He did for me. Trust Him with your whole life today for your future. He is able to do more than you could ever ask or imagine—no matter what your problems are. Remember Ephesians 3:20!”

If you know Jesus as your saviour, have you ever given all of yourself just like Adhiambo did? Are you willing to let Him use your life in whatever way He wants to? God may want you to teach kids some day or He may have some other special job for you. There may be something He is asking you to do this week! Will you do it?
