Bralirwa sheds Rwf2 in low trade on the bourse

There was low activity at the bourse Tuesday with only the Bralirwa counter trading. The counter, however, shed Rwf2 to close at Rwf138 during yesterday’s session, down from Rwf140 on Monday, according to the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) daily market report.

There was low activity at the bourse Tuesday with only the Bralirwa counter trading. The counter, however, shed Rwf2 to close at Rwf138 during yesterday’s session, down from Rwf140 on Monday, according to the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) daily market report.

The beverages firm realised a total turnover of Rwf386,400 from 2,800 shares traded in two deals during the trading session. The falling Bralirwa share price pushed down the Rwanda Share Index by 0.76 points, closing at 123.39 points, while the All Share Index lost 0.10 points to close at 127.69 points. Rwf138 is the lowest share price the counter has recorded in the past 12 months, according to the RSE report.

Meanwhile, the bond market and the other equity counters did not trade. Bank of Kigali closed at Rwf253, Crystal Telecom at Rwf70, Equity Bank was at Rwf334, and NMG closed at Rwf1200, while KCB closed at Rwf330 and Uchumi Supermarkets at Rwf104.

There was an outstanding offer of about 3.3 million Bank of Kigali shares between Rwf247 and Rwf270, Blarirwa had outstanding offers of 14,000 shares between Rwf140 and Rwf143, and Crystal Telecom received offers of 104,900 shares at Rwf70, and an a bid for 100,000 shares at Rwf65.The bond market recorded an outstanding bid for Rwf45 million worth of bonds between Rwf100.5 and Rwf104, but there were no interested buyers.​
