RE: "Africa microfinance leaders meet in Kigali to find ways to strengthen sector” (The New Times, October 24).

The microfinance sector does play a key role in developing economies like Rwanda and most other African countries.

The very fact that Kigali has been chosen to host this important event — the 17th African Confederation of Cooperative, Savings and Credit Association Summit —clearly indicates the confidence reposed in the smooth organisation of this mega event in the country.

The Indo-African Business Forum (IABF) would be very pleased to work closely with the organisers to further strengthen Africa’s microfinance sector and offer opportunities available in the third largest economy of the world to partners across the continent.
