Freestyle motocross excites Huye residents

Huye Rally, the 5th round on the National Rally Champioship calendar excited Butare fans as it came to a conclusion on Sunday. A total of 13 drivers, led by reigning national champion, Muhamed Roshanali in a Subaru Impreza, took part in the two-day, day event.

Huye Rally, the 5th round on the National Rally Champioship calendar excited Butare fans as it came to a conclusion on Sunday. A total of 13 drivers, led by reigning national champion, Muhamed Roshanali in a Subaru Impreza, took part in the two-day, day event.

There were also two South African motocross riders; Scott Billet and Nick de Wit, who thrilled fans with their gravity-defying stunts. This year, marked the 30th edition of Huye Rally which is held in memory of the late Claude Gakwaya, one of the best Rwandan rally drivers, who died in a motor accident in 1986.
