RE: "Eastern region police get new home” (The New Times, October 14).

The best and visionary leadership makes the sky the limit; the way of thinking and implementing things determines the quality of service, accountability and the future of that institution and the country in general.

As Rwandans, we should be glad that our institutions and the country in general, have given us that hope. The hope to live, success in what we do, support given to the citizens when required and where possible, and the services we get when required.

Rwanda National Police is among those institutions that continue to set a precedent. The new modern and hi-tech facilities define the nature and professionalism of our Police that has made Rwanda a better and safer place for all. This is why international reports place us among the safest countries globally.

It is always good to give credit where it is due. You sleep and wake up safe, walk or travel safely, do your business safely – always remember and credit someone responsible for that safety and well-being, and give a hand.
