SEVEN TIME LEAGUE CHAMPIONS, Rayon Sports Football Club skipper Eric ‘Bakame’ Ndayishimiye has rallied his teammates to do all they can and win both the league and Peace Cup this season. Djuma Masudi’s team will take on Police FC in the opening game of the season on Friday at Kigali Regional Stadium at 6pm.

"It will be tough against every team in the league especially in first leg, but we are up for it and we want to win the double. We have set our targets from the first match to the last. We expect it to be tough, but I think we have enough quality and experience to make it,” the Amavubi stopper told Times Sport.

He added: "It is a big challenge for us and we need to win two titles this season.”

The league first round will end next year on January 27 and the second round will kick off a fortnight later before climaxing on June 25.

The biggest match of the season which pits APR against Rayon Sports will be played on January 21 at Amahoro National Stadium.

Last season, the two rival clubs settled for a goalless draw in the first leg while in the second leg, the ‘Blues’ beat the military side by 1-0.
