Rwanda National Olympic and Sports Committee (RNOSC) has called on all local sports federations to have professional qualified technical personnel.

The call was made on Friday by the RNOSC and the International Olympic Solidarity officials at the conclusion a one-week training course in project management development at Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali.

Sponsored by the International Olympic Solidarity and conducted by its representative Tharcisse Harerimana from Burundi, the training was attended by more than 15 officials from different sports federations.

Taekwondo Federation president Placide Mugabo, who attended the training said, "All federations have been advised to recruit a technical person so that they can be able to assist in monitor, evaluating and implementing development projects.”

Harerimana said, "The officials need to implement what they have learnt during the training with immediate effect, but they also need to put in place technical personnel, and that should apply across all the sports federations.”
