Radisson Blu Hotel and Kigali Convention Centre hosted a Christmas party for youngsters from SOS Children’s Village and Hope Shines.

Children from both organisations were treated to an experience at Radisson Blu’s Lavender restaurant on Tuesday, December 26, with beautifully decorated play areas, karaoke and live music sessions, and a generous lunch buffet.

The children's faces lit up with excitement as they participated in various activities and received gifts from Santa.

SOS Children’s Village and Hope Shines are non-governmental organisations dedicated to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in Rwanda.

SOS Children’s Village focuses on providing shelter and education facilities, giving these children a safe haven and access to quality education. On the other hand, Hope Shines adopts a holistic approach to childhood development, offering support, and resources, and cultivating the children’s artistic interests through movement.

Alice Mushyitsi, Officer in Charge of the Responsible Business Department at Radisson Blu Hotel, said, "At Radisson Blu, we strongly believe in our responsibility towards the community. Jean Bosco Kwizera, National Director of SOS Rwanda, expressed gratitude, saying, "This Christmas celebration is a reminder that these children are loved and cared for, not only by us. Philip Murari, Project Manager of Hope Shines, said, "By providing these children with a memorable experience, you are inspiring hope and encouraging them to dream big, which is something that goes a long way for them.”

Radisson Blu is dedicated to continuous participation in community activities. The hotel is involved in other projects that support survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, as well as other partnerships that involve the SOS Children&039;s Village and technical and secondary schools.
