Rwandan celebrities are in the final stages of releasing a new song to raise awareness about good nutrition.

The song features popular artistes Tom Close, Knowless Butera, Aline Gahongayire as well as the reigning Miss Rwanda Jolly Mutesi.

In raising their voices to promote good nutrition, the stars are helping to raise awareness about the problem of malnutrition through music.

According to actor and film director Dennis Nsanzamahoro of Cinematic Productions Ltd, both the audio and video of the song are set to be released early next month. Preparations for a TV series on nutrition tips are also underway.

The song is part of the nutrition campaign initiated by Society for Family Health (SFH), where these artistes are taking part as volunteers.

Tom Close, also a medical doctor, said the song will be used to raise awareness even after the campaign. "We all have a role to play in the song, video and series because we feel we need to create awareness on nutrition to reduce cases of malnutrition in our country. The good thing about the song is that it will keep creating awareness even after the campaign has ended.”

The celebrities are using their fame and determination to help people make healthy choices for disease prevention and overall good health. They have devoted their time to teaching people, especially in rural areas, about eating health in order to live longer.
