Rwanda Cricket Association development team captain John Bosco Tuyizere has tipped his teammates to remain focused if they are to become national champions in the T20 computer point cricket tournament.

The young debutants will take on Telugu Royals in the final on Sunday at Kicukiro cricket ground in the afternoon.

Both clubs were considered as the underdogs in their group stages but surprisingly they defied all odds and made it to the final.

"Everyone in the club is very excited about the final mainly because it’s our first competition…. making it to the finals on the very first try is worth celebrating,” said Tuyizere.

RCA dev’t team, which is a collection of players under the age of 19, will be playing their first ever final against a tricky Telugu Royals side that will also will be looking to win their first silverware.

RCA’s Ochide Tuyisenge one of the youngest promising cricketers in the country, will be looking to continue his impressive form, which has seen him make 123 runs and take 17 wickets in the tournament.

The youthful side was established in May this year by the Rwanda Cricket Association with the aim of nurturing young cricket players into full internationals.

Elsewhere, in the women’s category Queens of victory will be looking forward to ending white clouds women cricket dominance in the same tournament at Kicukiro cricket ground on Sunday morning.
