Over 20 MTN subscribers yesterday won prizes worth Rwf5million in the ongoing Damarara promotion.

The lucky winners got brand new Samsung smart television sets and phones, a motorcycle and Rwf1million in cash. The 3-month campaign is part of the company’s strategy to reward loyal customers and help boost social development in the country.

Speaking during the prize giving ceremony in Kicukiro, a Kigali Suburb, Eric Sesonga, the MTN consumer marketing manager said the campaign is designed to strengthen the MTN brand across the country.

The ongoing campaign will see more subscribers win cash and a range of prizes, including a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, by the end of October, he noted.

Regis Muramira, one of the lucky winners hailed the company for giving back to its customers, calling it a social corporate responsibility that companies must embrace to promote social development in the country.

How to participate

Only customers that have spent more than three months on the network are eligible to participate.

"To participate in the promotion and win these exciting prizes, a customer will simply have to use their MTN line to make a call, send an SMS, or use data to earn points,” Sesonga said.

Early this week, MTN donated 96 computers to secondary schools to enhance ICT and innovation. The computers came with an offer of free internet access for the next three months.
