Banned for two years by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), former Amavubi forward Dady Birori aka Taddy Agiti Etekiama is poised to return to the field next week.

In September 2014, the Democratic Republic of Congo-born footballer was suspended by the African football governing body after it was discovered he was using two separate identities while playing for club and country.

Birori (then) held both Rwandan and Congolese (DR Congo) passports with different names, according to the CAF disciplinary committee. When playing for the Rwanda national team, he was going by the name Dady Birori while at AS Vita Club; his name was Taddy Agiti Etekiama.

As a result of this, Rwanda was disqualified from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying group stage for fielding Birori in the second round of the qualifiers following complaints from the Republic of Congo, who replaced Rwanda in Group A.
