The Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD) hereby informs all students on the Loan Scheme that in compliance with the provisions of Law Nº 44/2015 of 14/09/2015 governing student loans and bursaries, all new students that have been granted a student loan for academic year 2016/17 and the ongoing students who did not submit their contracts (both lists appear on www.brd.rw) that they are called upon to register and fill in the details of the student contract in the MIS accessible from www.brd.rw (Student loan). The guidelines on how to register and fill the one page contract details are contained in the MIS.
ANNOUNCEMENT TO STUDENTS ON GOVERNMENT OF RWANDA STUDENT LOAN SCHEME
The Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD) hereby informs all students on the Loan Scheme that in compliance with the provisions of Law Nº 44/2015 of 14/09/2015 governing student loans and bursaries, all new students that have been granted a student loan for academic year 2016/17 and the ongoing students who did not submit their contracts (both lists appear on www.brd.rw) that they are called upon to register and fill in the details of the student contract in the MIS accessible from www.brd.rw (Student loan). Section A) New students and ongoing students that appear on the list of those without contracts
They will Access the contract from www.brd.rw (Studentloan) and after reading through the terms and conditions of the student loan contract, will download the page entitled "amasezerano yerekeye inguzanyo yo kwiga amashuri makuru mu Rwanda” sign it, and take it to the Student Referee. After the signing by the student Referee, students will then scan the one page contract and upload it on the MIS (Studentloan).
Section B) Ongoing students
Students that already signed and dully submitted their contracts in the last academic year will readily find their data in the MIS/Studentloan. They are called upon to validate or edit data in the MIS to enable processing of disbursement of their living allowances and tuition fees. They will not need to sign another contract. For ongoing students that appear on www.brd.rw as student that did not submit their contract to BRD, they will sign the contract as mentioned in section A.
Deadline for registering in the MIS/Studentloan: Students shall complete the registration process in the Studentloan on www.brd.rw (including downloading, filling in details of the contract, and uploading the signed contract) not later than 16th September 2016.

We take this opportunity to inform all students that effectively from September 2016, BRD will make disbursements of student loans only to students that signed a contract and filled in their information including bank account details in the MIS/Studentloan accessible from www.brd.rw.
