APR FC and AS Vita Club of DR Congo played out a goalless draw in their second match of the ‘AS Kigali Preseason Tournament’ on Sunday at Amahoro National Stadium.

The Rwandan league champions started the game, with Vita Club mostly relying on counterattacks in the first half.

Muzinga Ngonda, Ouma Sidiba, Ernest Sugira had clear chances for the Congolese side when they found themselves in one on one situations with goalkeeper Marcel Nzarora, but failed to score.

APR had their own chances one arriving when Michael Rusheshangoga had good exchanges with Andrew Buteera but Maxime Sekamana failed to hit the target.

Sugira and Sidiba continued to put pressure on the Rwandan military side but without causing much trouble for Nzarora in the APR goal.

Bigirimana saw his effort come off the post following a Rusheshangoga cross. 

Elsewhere, SC Kiyovu came from behind to beat Police FC 2-1 at Kigali Regional Stadium in Group B. Striker Isaie Songa put Police ahead in the 17th minute before Djuma Niziyimana (35) and Abumdan Kurimpuzu (80) scored for the Green Baggies, who had lost their opener 2-0 against Sunrise FC.

It was the second consecutive loss for Police new coach Innocent Seninga, who lost to Rayon Sports 2-1 in their first game on Friday.

Action continues Tuesday when APR take on tournament organizers AS Kigali, with Police playing Sunrise, Rayon Sports facing SC Kiyovu while Dauphin Noir will play against AS Vital Club.
