Preparations for the fourth edition of Groove Awards that were launched on September 4 are in high gear.

According to Pastor John Kaiga, the chair of the panel of judges for the Groove Awards, the grand finale will take place on November 13 under the theme Come as you are. A new category of best Gospel T.V Show has also been added on the 14 existing categories of the Groove awards.

Kaiga noted that the theme aims at encouraging new gospel artistes to enter nominations for the gospel songs that were released last year.

"We want to encourage new gospel artistes to participate in the awards,” he said.

The deadline to submit applications is September 25 and, the nominees will be unveiled to the public on October 13 for voting before the awarding ceremony.

The objective of Groove Awards is to promote and connect gospel artistes across Africa, open doors for upcoming singers, songwriters and musicians, as well as raise the standards in the music industry.
