Fans have been anxiously waiting for 3 Hills’ first collaboration with music legend Kidum. The trio’s debut video track, Vimba Vimba, was finally released Monday.

The singing group made up of Eric Mucyo, Jackson Kalimba and Hope Irakoze, collaborated with Kidum to record the new music. The singer, real name Jean-Pierre Nimbona, is a Nairobi-based Burundian musician and the Ambassador for Peace, a position that helps to foster hope and reconciliation in East Africa.

The audio for Vimba Vimba, was produced by renowned local music producer Pastor P and the video was shot in both Kigali and Nairobi, Kenya. It was directed by Aimable Rwandarushya aka Namless Campos.

"Vimba Vimba video is out with quality images. It's special. We chose beautiful locations in Kigali and Nairobi for our video with video vixens,” says Irakoze, the winner of Tusker Project Fame season 6.

Vimba Vimba in Swahili means 'feeling big or poised’, which in the song, simply refers to how guys really feel when they fall in love.

Meanwhile, Kalimba, who is currently working with Kampala Serena Hotel, didn’t appear in the video, leading to speculation that he had parted ways with the group.

"We didn’t part ways as some people have been alleging. Our colleague Jackson Kalimba is currently working with Kampala Serena Hotel... he couldn’t get time to join us during the shooting of this video but we’re still together,” Irakoze told The New Times

The group is currently working on their latest single, Uri Mwiza, featuring Burundian singer Big Farious.
