RE: "The perils of house hunting in Kigali” (The New Times, August 28).

Great work; I’m surprised Kimihurura, Kacyiru, Gisozi, and old Kiyovu are not mentioned. Whatever the location, getting a house to rent in Kigali is almost a nightmare. Can we also talk about apartments? You try one, and I like the way the beautiful ladies (receptionists) would tell you $1,200-$1,500$ or so.

I wonder why these rates are always being calculated in dollars. Hopefully, an affordable housing solution would be found, otherwise the speculation is terrible.
