Rwanda international central defender Emery Bayisenge has said he can’t wait to make a mark with his side Kenitra Athletic Club (KAC) in the Moroccan Premier League.

Emery Bayisenge.

Bayisenge who signed a three-year contract with the club says he is ready for the new season. His side kicked off the campaign with a heavy loss against Raja Casablanca 4-0 last weekend, but Bayisenge did not play as he was waiting to complete his transfer.

"We lost to the best team, but we are ready to fight in our next fixtures. Morocco has a strong league with strong players but I believe that I will manage to play good football and I am ready for the new challenge ahead of me. I believe I can do better,” the former APR player said.

He added, "I will do all I can to perform better in my new team. This is new challenge, but I am ready to work hard and raise my level and the level of my team. This is the time to kick off my career and I believe with the way I have been treated here, I will succeed.”

The former U17 and U20 skipper, signed for the Moroccan side after failed trials with Austria’s second division league side Linz FC, French side Toulouse FC in 2012 and Zulte Walgem (Belgium).

Founded in 1938, KAC is one of the most famous and popular football clubs in Morocco.
