Peace Kwizera, the first runner-up of Miss Rwanda 2016 has finally put her writing skills to good use. Kwizera is set to launch a new book titled "Oh Rwandan Child.”

The 32-page book is meant to help young Rwandans (aged between 10 and 12) to dream big, work hard and choose careers that best suit them. It is illustrated with pictures of inspirational Rwandan figures including President Paul Kagame, among other people that inspire the young generation.

"I believe every Rwandan child is meant to be inspired. Many young people tend to go to school just for the sake of going there. Many have no idea of what they want to be in life. You find people graduating from the university and they do not know what they want. So it is important to start inspiring them when they are young,” she said in an interview with The New Times.

Published by ‘Imagine We’, a publishing company in Kigali, the book is part of her career guidance project which she initially presented at Miss Rwanda 2016.

Kwizera says she is so excited about this new career and believes the book will be resourceful to children. "It’s going to be very beautiful, very fun to read by children. It is basically about guiding children and encouraging them to think outside.
