Kigali beat their Entebbe counterparts to win the ‘return leg’ of the 5th edition of Entebbe-Kigali Golf Clubs Challenge over the weekend at the new 9-hole Kigali golf course in Nyarutarama.

Entebbe Golf Club team had 30 players who competed against their Kigali opponents in the return match of this year’s two-leg competition. Kigali Golf Club travelled to Entebbe in March this year for the first leg, which was won by the hosts.

In the return leg on Saturday, results of the top ten players for each team were considered to get the winner and the hosts shot the best overall net score of 693, making an average net score of 69.3, hence beating their counterparts by 80 strokes.

"The competition is aimed at maintaining the existing good relationship between the two golf clubs, and also to promote the sport in the two countries,” said Kigali Golf Club captain, Dr. Davis Kashaka, who contributed a net score of 71.
