All set for Carre d'As volleyball tourney

For the local volleyball fans, all roads will be leading to Circle Sportif de Kigali in Rugunga and Kimisagara Youth Sports Center for this year’s Carre d’As volleyball tournament which starts today and ends tomorrow with the finals at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.

For the local volleyball fans, all roads will be leading to Circle Sportif de Kigali in Rugunga and Kimisagara Youth Sports Center for this year’s Carre d’As volleyball tournament which starts today and ends tomorrow with the finals at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.

The annual two-day tournament brings together the top four teams in both the men and women national league, who play against each other on a round robin format.

The men’s category will be played at Circle Sportif de Kigali while the women will be at Kimisagara Youth Sports Center. The finals will be played on Sunday at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.

The men’s league champions, University of Kibungo (UNIK) will start against IPRC-South before taking on Kirehe and wind up their preliminary round against APR on Saturday. The two teams will meet in the final on Sunday.

In the women’s category, league champions Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) will begin their quest for the Carre d’As against Ruhango before meeting St Aloys de Rwamaga and wind up with a date against APR.
