[LETTERS] Second-hand clothing: We need a mindset change

I think we need to have the mind of new is better and used is better but...we cannot afford to act the usual way. Changing our mindset is urgently needed if we are going to be where we want to be in 2020.

I think we need to have the mind of new is better and used is better but...we cannot afford to act the usual way. Changing our mindset is urgently needed if we are going to be where we want to be in 2020.

My take on this? It doesn’t matter what you wear as long as it looks nice and clean.

The idea of I have to wear like, let’s say Chris Brown while your monthly income is below Rwf200,000, is wrong.

The ban is a good policy as it is in line with protecting the local market from being used as a dumping backyards.

In the West, we have less used clothing in high street and new ones at different prices. We need to promote our local industries and diversify our textile industry.
