Rwanda Cricket Association (RCA)-development team skipper Bosco Tuyizere has said his team is determined to win the T20 Computer Point tournament this season.

The young side will be battling with defending champions challengers in the semi-finals on August 21 at Kicukiro cricket ground.

However, the all round player and the team captain is confident that challengers will be overrun and RCA will go on to win the league.

"We are very much determined and ready, we practice every day, we have worked on our batting and bowling level so we are set for the semi-finals,” said the RCA team captain.

He added that everyone is surprised by the good performance of the team, which was formed in May and is taking part in their first ever national cricket competition.

RCA-development team has been stunning with their star player Ochide Tuyisenge making 114 runs and 12 wickets in all the three games they have so far played.

The team qualified for the semi-finals after winning two of their three games played.

The young team will be playing against the defending champions, Challengers in the semi-finals on a date yet to be communicated by Rwanda Cricket Association.

"We are not scared of Challengers, we know they are a big team, that will give us the impetus to work hard and edge them,” said Ochide Tuyisenge.

RCA-Development team was established by Rwanda Cricket Association in May 2016 with the sole purpose of nurturing future Rwanda cricketers. The team is composed of 16 players all below the age of 19 and these.
