Dear editor,
Now that Barack Obama is the most loved person at the moment and celebrity to other celebrities, all eyes are on the US president-elect. Practically the whole world is hoping for change.

The Middle East, especially Afghanistan and Iraq, Africa, Asia, South America and all the tiny islands that are dotted all over the world, wait for the change Obama emphasized during his campaigns.

Its like, Obama is a mimic of the world’s saviour. Why do people think he is going to erase the world’s problems?

Everything is now related to Obama’s name. In fact, the only topic on people’s mouths even days after his victory is Obama.
Apparently, many questions are racing in my mind and maybe in the heads of a million others.

Is he the long awaited Messiah—you know, the one who will come and unite the whole world and set himself king over all?

Well, maybe not. However, the rate at which everyone seems to be loving, admiring and expecting Obama to solve the world’s problems I would not be surprised that people will quickly exalt him as God!

Yes, he is a monumental victor today and has set a historical record being the first Black President to take over the White House- something no one had ever anticipated.

But don’t you think the US president-elect is a human being just like any of us, only that he is being used by God to achieve his purpose on earth.

Please, let us not exaggerate his success but instead strive harder to achieve ours. After all, every one of us has a unique purpose on earth.
