Want a laugh? Ugandan comedienne Anne Kansiime and homeboy Arthur Nkusi promise to give attendees a night of hilarity during a comedy show dubbed, "Arthur and Kansiime Live”, that will be held at Kigali Serena Hotel on Sunday, July 24.

The doors will open at 5pm before the actual performance at 7 pm. Tickets are available at both Ndoli supermarkets in Kisimenti and Sonatube, Nakumatt, Mpeace Plaza and Jumia. Ordinary tickets go for Rwf10.000, VIP at Rwf20.000 while a table for 6 goes for Rwf200.000.

Arthur Nkusi is a first-rising Rwandan comedian and ex Big Brother housemate, while Kansiime is a Ugandan entertainer, comedienne and actress, who is commonly referred to as "Africa’s Queen of Comedy.” Her comedy style focuses on aspects of her personal life, while Nkusi’s skits are based on general situations that happen in everyday life.

"This is my first time to organise a comedy show in Kigali, and my fans should expect a lot of talent and the finest jokes from some of East Africa’s finest comedians. There is a great lineup of extremely hilarious comedians,” Nkusi said, adding that: "This is my show and I’m prepared to give comedy lovers the funniest jokes they have never laughed to.”

The show will be hosted by Uganda’s top comedian and MC Alex Muhangi together with budding local comedian Babu. Apart from the comedians, revellers will also be entertained by local artistes Charly & Nina, Uncle Austin and DJ Pius.

"It’s going to be one of the biggest nights in the history of comedy having all these incredible talented comedians and artistes on stage. It’s going to be a night of hilarity and entertainment,” said Nice Budandi, Nkusi’s manager.

Early this week, Kansiime, who refers to herself as ‘the girl from Kabale’, took to Facebook to confirm her show in Kigali in a short video clip: "Hello Kigali! So on July 24 I’ll be at Kigali Serena Hotel with Arthur Nkusi. I can’t wait! Me and that boy we have chemistry…I don’t know whether people are not scared. Alex Muhangi is also coming to host. There is going to be serious talent. You better be there because I’ll be there. I won’t cheat on you so you’ve no reason to cheat on me. See you July 24 Kigali!”

"Anne Kansiime is indeed the Queen of African comedy. I’m excited and I simply can’t wait for the show. I also love Arthur, I think he is a good comedian,” said Justine Teta, a fan.
