RE: "You want the truth but can you handle it?” (The New Times, July 19).

The propaganda of the West demonises anything that they either do not understand or control. Africa must tell its story and not rely on Western journalists.

Tell for them for African consumption and in the African perspective.

Yes, westerners have better resources, they will pay ‘experts’ to give ‘expert’ opinion, but we live and know what goes on in our backyard, Africa.

We know Africa better than the average western journalist who thinks Africa is one country, has no buildings and planes land in the jungle.
