Rwanda's Health Minister Dr Binagwaho dropped from Cabinet

Dr Agnes Binagwaho, who has been the Minister of Health, was Tuesday morning relieved of her ministerial duties, according to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister.

Dr Agnès Binagwaho, who has been the Minister of Health, was Tuesday morning relieved of her ministerial duties, according to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister.

"In accordance with the Constitution as amended to date, specifically article 116, President Paul Kagame has removed from cabinet Dr Agnès Binagwaho,” reads part of the statement signed by Prime Minister Anastase Murekezi.

Dr Binagwaho was appointed Minister of Health in May 2011. Prior to that she had been the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.
