[LETTERS] Adopt building friendly policies

Someone needs to oversee these policies with user-friendly services, like affordable construction permit processing costs. Just don't drop down policies that will be exploited as bite to catch users who end up falling prey to “corrupt vultures” waiting to scavenge on the resources of hardworking citizens.

RE: "Rwanda looks to high-rise building to ease urban housing challenge” (The New Times, June 28).

The President and his government have given us appropriate eye openers, and we can see those willing to help implement the policies and those ready to exploit citizens in the name of implementing policies.

Cut down the list of requirements for getting the construction permits for apartments and you will see the difference in terms of compliance.
