Rayon Sports, APR FC, Espoir and AS Kigali have reached the semi-finals of this year’s Peace Cup competition after winning their respective quarter-finals fixtures on Saturday.

Last year’s losing finalists Rayon Sports beat Gicumbi 4-1 at Kigali Regional Stadium to set up a semi-final clash with the 2013 winners AS Kigali place, who overcame Amagaju FC 2-0.

Malian striker Ismailia Diarra scored opening goal for Rayon Sports in the 13th minute and defender Thierry Manzi added the second in the 33th minute.

Davis Kasirye made it 3-0, three minutes after the break while Djaber Manishimwe completed the rout in the 72nd minute. Rachid Mutebi netted the consolation goal for Emmanuel Ruremesha’s side in the 84th minute.

In the early kickoff, Patrick Sibomana netted a 90th minute winner as APR defeated SC Kiyovu to seal a place in the last four against Espoir FC, who beat AS Muhanga 3-0 at Huye Stadium.

At Muhanga Regional Stadium, Eric Nshimiyimana’s AS Kigali beat Police FC conquerors Amagaju FC 2-0, thanks to striker Onesme Twizerimana, who netted a brace.
