MTN Rwanda yesterday announced a new platform to boost data usage among the youth.

The campaign dubbed "YOLO, Go Be Great”, aims at increasing internet usage and connectivity among the youth across the country.

The platform provides subscribers with "exciting yolo pack products,” including voice and internet dataSpeaking at the launch of the platform at the MTN Headquarters in Nyarutarama, yesterday, company chief executive, Gunter Engling, said the campaign will help unlock potential and boost innovativeness among the youth.

"We are dedicating our efforts and resources to help nurture the youth, inspire them and drive them to achieve greatness through ICT and innovation”, he said.

MTN’s Chief Marketing Officer, Yvonne Manzi Makolo, said the platform gives the youth flexibility to live in a digital world and embrace technology to become more innovative and competitive

"It is important that the campaign speaks to how we drive MTN forward as a business and as a brand. We know the youth demand customised products and solutions that they can identify with. The value behind Yolo is that MTN is able to give the youth flexible packages to live in a digital world with our affordable packs, and to connect to anyone at any time due to our extensive network,” Makolo, said.

Yolo Pack eligible customers will dial *154# then access a menu that will give them the option of activating either voice or data.
