RE: "New University of Kigali students tipped on success” (The New Times, May 25).

I strongly believe that many universities in Rwanda do a great job in offering quality education. However, if students do not put in the effort to do what is required on their end, they will end up not being well prepared when they graduate. At the end, since everyone has a stake in education, people will start questioning quality of education and I do not think that's the problem.

Students should constantly get reminded of their input of hard work, discipline, and determination when it comes to their own education. Nobody else should own their education plan. With the government support, students should own their own career plans and paths.
