Musician Knowless, Clement get engaged

After years of speculation, Clement Ishimwe finally got down on one knee. The Kina Music Production Studio boss revealed that he popped the question to the ladylove Jeanne d'Arc Butera, aka Knowless, while the pair were watching The Notebook -- a 2004 American romantic drama film directed by Nick Cassavetes.

After years of speculation, Clement Ishimwe finally got down on one knee. The Kina Music Production Studio boss revealed that he popped the question to the ladylove Jeanne d'Arc Butera, aka Knowless, while the pair were watching The Notebook — a 2004 American romantic drama film directed by Nick Cassavetes. 

The music producer then went to the social media and shared a photo of his fiancée wearing a huge and gorgeous ring. Clement wrote a heartfelt caption: "She Said Yes! To which the, Peke Yangu star responded: "I Said Yes!” 

The proposal took place at Century Cinema located at Kigali City Tower on Thursday evening, before a selected group of friends and family. 

According to close friends, a movie was paused a song both of them love was played, and then Clement went on his knees and asked Knowless, if she will marry him. 

Cameras were restricted. The two hired their own photographers and were the first to release the photos about their engagement. 

Soon after, all kinds of love began to roll in via social media, as fans and friends sent their congratulatory messages to the newly engaged couple. 

"She feels blessed,” said one fan that preferred anonymity. "She is thrilled. She is with the man who has inspired so much of her music,” they’re both celebrating the engagement.” 

Clement, 28, is equally smitten with Knowless, 25. "I had planned for this engagement for quite a long time and I was confident that she wasn’t going to reject it,” he gushed to The New Times. "She was extreme happy and crying. What we have is so precious”, he added.

The two have over the last five years denied being in a relationship, since Clement took over management of the gorgeous singer in 2011.

Despite appearing together at several social events and different activities, both denied being lovers amid persistent claims by local media that they had something going on. The proposal confirmed long-standing rumours. 

Their wedding is expected to take place before the end of this year.
