Tunisia to host Boys' U19 African Nations Championship

AFRICAN VOLLEYBALL CONFEDERATION "CAVB” has nominated Tunisia to host the 2016 Boys’ U19 African Nations Championship, which will be staged on September 8-16.

This is the second time in a row for Tunisia to host this event after they hosted the last edition in Kelibia in January 2015.

The competition is expected to attract the big teams on the continent led by record holders Tunisia who have 7 titles and defending champions, Egypt. 

CAVB has put August 23 as a deadline for the National Federations to confirm their participation.  The top 2 teams in this event will represent Africa in the 2017 FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship   

Meanwhile the league will continue on Saturday in the women’s category as St Aloys host St Joseph while on Sunday defending champions, Rwanda Revenue Authority will host IPRC Kigali. APR will meet Lycee de de Nyanza.

In Men’s category, on Saturday Umubano Blue Tigers will host Kigali Volleyball Club while on Sunday APR will play against KVC, Rayon Sports will be playing against INATEK, Umubano Blue Tigers will be up against Lycee de Nyanza while Kirehe will meet IPRC South.
