Middle level promising Rwandans professionals have an opportunity to enhance their professional capabilities, broaden their contacts under the Eisenhower Fellowships (EF) programme.
The programme helps young leaders deepen their perspectives, and unite in a diverse, global network that promotes dialogue, understanding, and collaboration for a more prosperous, and peaceful world.
Eisenhower Fellowships programme, which held its first Africa Programme last year to develop leadership skills and to foster concrete connections and dynamic collaborations among the selected African leaders, is envisioned as the catalyst for a concerted five-year effort to engage EF more deeply in Africa.
Rwanda was selected as one of the seven core African countries invited to participate in this unique programme.
Due to the impressive caliber of candidates that participated in the 2016 Africa Program, Rwanda has been selected to participate in the 2017 Multination Programme, where candidates will be drawn from 25 participating countries from Africa, Asia, Europe and South America.
Eisenhower Fellowship is currently inviting candidates from Rwanda aged 32-45 who are leaders with a demonstrated track record of significant professional and community achievements to participate in the 2017 Multi Nation Programme.

Eisenhower Fellowships was founded in 1953 as a tribute to Dwight D. Eisenhower as he assumed the US presidency. It is chaired by General Colin L. Powell, USA (retired) and headquartered in Philadelphia.Former chairs include Dr. Henry Kissinger and former President George H.W. Bush.
Honorary Co-Chairs of the Africa Leadership Steering Committee are Dr Mohamed Ibrahim, chairman of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, and former US Assistant Secretary of State for Africa Affairs, Ambassador Jendayi Frazer.
