Challengers Cricket Club captain Srinath Vardhinen is confident his team will make a repeat of last season’s feat to scoop three trophies in a season.

Challengers have already entered camp in Kicukiro ahead of the tournament that is slated to start on Sunday at Kicukiro cricket ground.

Srinath said the entire team knows what should be done to defend the title.

The four time winners and last year’s treble winner will be playing their first game against Terugu Royals on June 5 at Kicukiro cricket ground.

Challengers will face off with other teams in Pool B including Terugu Royals, Indorwa and Impala Titans while Pool A consists of Right Guard, Kerala Hunters, Kigali Warriors, Kigali Cricket Club as well as RCA development Team.

Challengers lifted their first trophy this year after winning the VR.NAIDU T20 cricket tournament.

The club has dominated Rwandan Cricket for the last three years winning 7 titles in all competitions which include UAE, computer point, V.R Naidu, and RCA-T10.

"We won three trophies last year including UAE, V.R Naidu and RCA- T10,” said Srinath before adding that they want to repeat the same this season again.

"Individual players have to execute their roles very well as defined by the team management. I have no doubt that we shall again win this tournament if every player plays to his best,” he said.
