Rayon Sports vs Etincelles (Kigali Regional Stadium)

Rayon Sports skipper Eric Ndayishimiye has said his team needs to be more consistent if they are to wrestle the league title from arch rivals APR who are 5 points ahead but have played two games more.

The Blues play the first of their two games in hand this afternoon against Etincelles knowing that a win will take them to within two points of APR.

"We have to stay focused and also be consistent. We need to win this game and stay in contention for the title.

We have a chance after APR lost their game so it is up to us to deliver,” the former APR stopper said.

Meanwhile on Monday afternoon, Mukura beat Musanze 3-2 to go level with Rayon Sports on 53 points but Rayon Sports have a better goal tally.

AS Kigali thrashed Bugesera 4-0 to remain in fourth place with 50 points while Police edged Amagaju 3-1 to leapfrog SC Kiyovu into fifth spot after the old giants succumbed to a 0-1 loss to relegation battling side Rwamagana at Mumena turf.

Police’s Dany Usengimana is the league’s top scorer with 14 goals.
