Rafiki Mazimpaka’s consistency has started paying him ‘dividends’. He is becoming more and more famous in the region.

The king of Coga style was crowned Rwanda’s best male artist for the second time, in a row during this year’s Pam Awards. The event was held in Uganda last weekend.

Rafiki a young man was raised from Ruhengeri- Musanze district. His songs: "Igikosi” and "Igipende” brought him to the limelight.

"After my A level, I started working on my first song which I released in 2005. At this point I never thought I would be Rwanda’s best male artist.” He said.

Rafiki’s success on local and regional music industry has come so first.  Many are real surprised by the speed with which he is making the impact on international scene.

The young man has performed with big and renowned artist in the region like Prof. J and others. This is when he managed to release his first solo album.

One would not go wrong, if he believed that he is heading to be the future King of music industry in Rwanda.
He had these words for his lovers.

"I thank all my supporters who helped me through this long journey. I dedicate this award to all of you who have been there for me. I also apologize to my lovers, because I never managed to go and get the award myself. I was caught up with late Minani’s memorial concert here in Kigali.”
