AS Kigali registered comfortable win over Bugesera 4-0 to stay in contention of third position in the National Football League, the match played yesterday at Kigali Regional Stadium.

Attacking midfielder, Pekeyake Tuyisenge came off to replace Charles Mwesigye Tibingana, to score brace in the 59th and 83rd minutes while Onesme Twizerimana and Hamidou Ndayisaba netted other goals in the 89th and 90th minutes to give Eric Nshimiyimana’s side all needed points.

AS Kigali remains on fourth place with 50 points, three behind Mukura Victory Sports who beat Musanze 3-2 at Huye Stadium, thanks to Christophe Ndayishimiye, Yussuf Habimana and Muhadjir Hakizimana, who netted for Godfroid Okoko’s team while George Semwogerere’s side goals came from Jean Pierre Maombi and Ismail Uwihoreye.

At Kicukiro Stadium, Police beat Amagaju 3-1, Dany Usengimana netted brace while Imran Nshimiyimana netted another goal while Innocent Ndizeye netted the consolation goal for Abdu ‘Becken’ Bizimana’s side.

Andre Casa Mbungo’s team remains on sixth place with 39 points while Amagaju is on tenth place with 28 points.

SC Kiyovu lost to Rwamagana City 0-1 at Mamena Stadium, thanks to the lone goal of Bashir Gentil Kabagema, Yves Rwasamanzi’s team stays on fifth position with 41 points while Francois Kalisa’s Rwamagana is second place from bottom with 24 points.

The actions will continue on Wednesday where the title contenders Rayon Sports will be entertaining with Etincelles at Kigali Regional Stadium. 

Should Rayon Sports win the game will remain on second place with 56 points, two behind leaders APR but the Djuma Masudi Irambona’s team has one game in hand AS Muhanga.

After the 26 matches, the league will be called off where Amavubi will be preparing for the warm up game against Senegal on Saturday and 2017 AFCON qualifiers against Mozambique June, 4.
