22 children in Thailand for the International Mathematics Competition (IMC2008)

Twenty-two children from different primary and secondary schools around the country took part in the International Mathematics Competition (IMC2008) in Thailand. The competition took place from 25th -30th October.

Twenty-two children from different primary and secondary schools around the country took part in the International Mathematics Competition (IMC2008) in Thailand. The competition took place from 25th -30th October.

The children, who were sent by the government of Rwanda, were selected from different schools namely; Sunrise School, Green Hills Academy, Kigali Parents School, La Colombier Primary School, Kigali Junior Academy, Lycee de Kigali, and Fawe Girls School.

The selection was based on their outstanding performance in Mathematics and English. Other countries participating in the competition include Ethiopia, South Africa and Thailand.

The objectives of the competition are; to encourage students to do Mathematics and give them an international exposure on the subject. 

Winners will be rewarded with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. All participants will receive an International Mathematics Certificate 2008.
